The Groove Room was created to evolve our brand-owned stage at Ultra South Africa into a standalone cultural property - a space with its own identity, purpose, and lasting impact.
Built on the foundation of South Africa’s rich, homegrown soundscape, it celebrates the grassroots rise of genres like Amapiano, Gqom, and 3-Step. More than just a stage, it’s a tribute to the communities, dancers, and producers who shaped a movement that’s now resonating worldwide.
The Groove Room is where sound, movement, and pride come together - always “for us, by us”, step in because THIS IS African Electronic Music Culture.
