It’s sunset time! Global disco meets SA soul in a golden-hour celebration of rhythm, ritual and nature - set against Clifton’s iconic coastline this March.
Cape Town, January 27th, 2026 - Corona Sunsets Festival returns to the Mother City with one of its most anticipated editions yet, transforming The Glen Country Club, Clifton into an open-air gathering of music, art, and nature on Saturday, 21 March 2026, from 12:00 to 23:00.
Leading the line-up is Purple Disco Machine, the Grammy Award-winning German DJ and producer behind international hits Hypnotized and Fireworks. Ranked among Beatport’s Top 100 Artists of all time, he brings his euphoric blend of nu-disco and house to Cape Town for a rare South African performance.
Joining him is a powerful mix of local icons and contemporary trailblazers, including Zakes Bantwini, Sun-El Musician (ahead of his anticipated new album), Msaki, DJ Kent, Liquideep, Mila-Rose, Blakongo, Roz b2b Housewife, and the Ndlovu Youth Choir, who will deliver a once-off sunset performance set to be one of the most emotionally resonant moments of the festival.

Beyond the line-up, the festival is designed as a full-day experience rooted in sunset time and its More Than Music offering, encouraging people to slow down and engage more intentionally with their surroundings. From immersive art installations and live creative expressions to locally inspired food offerings, drum circles, and the festival’s signature sunset ritual, Corona Sunsets continues to create space for shared moments rather than just performances.
For Sun-El Musician, a long-time contributor to the Corona Sunsets Festival journey, the festival represents something deeper: “Corona Sunsets has always been about music meeting nature. Performing in these spaces, where people are grounded, open, and connected, allows the music to travel differently. It’s not just a performance; it’s a shared experience.”
“The festival is built around the idea of connection - to music, to nature, and to one another,” says Melanie Nicholson, Head of Brand: Corona South Africa. “We aim to create an environment where people feel present and open, and where the experience extends beyond the stage.”
At its core, Corona Sunsets Festival is about creating space - space to pause, to be present, and to experience music in a way that feels intentional. In a world that rarely slows down, the festival offers a shared moment shaped by sound, setting, and the simple act of being outdoors together.
