ULTRA South Africa continues to spotlight the energy and evolution of African electronic music with The Groove Room. A dedicated stage experience that places some of the continent’s most exciting artists front and center.
Returning for ULTRA South Africa 2026 in Johannesburg, The Groove Room offers fans a high-energy journey through the sounds shaping dance floors across Africa, from Amapiano and Afro-house to Gqom and cutting-edge electronic sounds.
This year’s Groove Room lineup features a powerhouse selection of artists pushing the culture forward, including Liquideep, Scorpion Kings, DBN Gogo, Dlala Thukzin, Oscar Mbo, DJ Lag x Que DJ, Sun-El Musician, 2Shoes, Lelowhatsgood, and Slow Poison.
Together, these artists represent the dynamic and diverse landscape of African electronic music, delivering performances that blend deep grooves, infectious rhythms and boundary-pushing production.
Expanding the reach of the stage beyond the festival grounds, ULTRA South Africa has also launched the official Groove Room YouTube platform, giving fans around the world a front-row seat to the sounds shaping African dance music.
Within its first week, the channel has already generated over 300,000 views, reflecting the growing global appetite for the artists and sounds emerging from the continent’s vibrant electronic music scene.
Through exclusive performances, live sets and curated content, the platform provides a new digital home for Groove Room performances while amplifying African talent to international audiences.
